Team Ghana will depart to Australia today for Australia ahead of next month’s Commonwealth Games.
The first batch of Ghana’s team will leave the shores of Ghana this afternoon (12:00) to prepare for the upcoming games.
Ghana will be looking for their first Gold medal since over 30 years when Azumah Nelson won Gold in boxing.
The late Eddie Blay won Ghana’s first Gold Medal in the 1962 Games in Perth, four years later he defended Gold in Kingston.
At last edition of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Ghana won only one medal and it was Walid Omar who won Bronze medal in boxing.
