Information reaching Sportsnetghana.com indicates that the Premier League Board (PLB) has agreed to StarTimes proposal to telecast certain matches of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League at these venues namely Sogakope Park, Cape Coast Sports Stadium, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Obuasi Len Clay Stadium and Elmina Sports Stadium.
This means certain homes matches of the teams will be moved to any of these venues to be played in order for their matches to be shown live on TV.
This according to StarTimes is to help boost television coverage as well as project a good image of the league to the world.
However clubs in the Brong Ahafo such as Aduana Stars, Berekum Chelsea, Techiman Eleven Wonders and Bechem United will be affected as they have to move their home games to any of these venues in order for their matches to be shown live on TV.
According to reports the PLB made up of representatives from the various clubs in Ghana agreed to play the GPL at some of the selected stadiums and will be compensated as a result.
Official television right holders StarTimes have promised to telecast more matches in the upcoming season.
