Partey named Total Man of the Match in Ghana’s win over Mali

Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey was named Total Man of the Match in Ghana’s 1-0 win over the Eagles of Mali in match day two in group D of the ongoing Cup of Nations in Gabon.
The Athletico Madrid star has been instrumental in the two games Ghana have played so far in the tournament and was piped to man of the match accolade by enterprising winger Christian Atsu when Ghana played against Uganda.
That notwithstanding, Partey was lucky this time and caught the eyes of the CAF Technical Student Group.
Partey’s incisive passes, strength and effort were duly recognized and reward.
Thomas partey is playing in his debut tournament for Ghana after a remarkable season with Althletico Madrid in both league and the UEFA Champions League.
Ghana won by a goal to nil after skipper Asamoah Gyan headed a Jordan Ayew excellent cross in the 20th minute to book Ghana’s ticket to the quarter finals of the tournament .
