Local media expected to help make WAFU tourney a success -Aka Malam

The General Secretary of the West African Football Union (WAFU), Aka Malam has implored the media to help create awareness for the upcoming Fox Sports WAFU tournament to make it a success.

Aka Malam observed the important role the media has to play in the tournament to be hosted in the Central region and Western region of Ghana. He outlined the role of the media for the competition.

“What is expected from the media is to spread the event all over Cape Coast and Takoradi. We will need to fill the stadium so you have to send the information all over so people will come and watch the matches we are going to host here. And of course we expect the media to spread it all over the world. For the local journalist people in Cape Coast must know that from the 9th of September there will be a competition here because there is not nothing in the city to show there is a competition coming. And that is your role; to inform people,” he outlined.

Sixteen participants across the West Africa region will participate in the tournament which begins from Saturday 9th to Sunday 24th of September.
