Aduana Stars management member Elvis Osei Poku says he is absolutely confident the club will win the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League.
The former champions are close to winning their second title after eight years and are currently leading the pack of the table. According to Mr. Poku, it is not by mere chance or luck that his side are leaders of the table with 48 points from 26 matches, but through hardwork and determination.
“We are going to win the league and that is for sure. Hearts of Oak were lucky to earn a draw from us at the Accra Sports Stadium,” he noted.
“We came here to take all the points to augment our intentions though anything is possible when it comes to football.”
“Sometimes you just need to play safe and play little mind game to avoid complacency from the players. We are prepared for the rest of our matches and make sure that we win and win well to crown our hardwork and determination with trophy.”
Aduana’s last four games in the season will be a home game against fellow title contenders WAFA, then an away travel to relegated Bolga All Stars, before hosting Elmina Sharks to the Dormaa Park and finally cap the season with a visit to Ashgold at Obuasi.
