The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) led by Hon.Isaac Asiamah gave the Ghana Athletics Association ( GAA ) an amount of $84,000 before departing for London for IAAF championships.
The Ghana Athletics Association treasurer Marc Dzradosi can not hide his joy but to shower praises on the ministry for their enormous efforts.
“This is the first time we have received a support from the ministry since 2012 so we are happy,” he told Happy FM.
“I think this is the beginning of good things to come.”
“I think the new leadership led by Hon.Isaac Asiamah, his deputy Hon. Pius Enam Hadziede and the NSA boss Robert Sarfo Mensah are very positive. It is their effort that has even help us to get some money to be able to send the athletes to London.”
He again stated that Ghana Athletics Association have so many plans but can’t do without money.
“I hope things will get better in no time .GAA have a lots of activities but without money we can not execute them.”
