Sadick Adams was sacked for disciplinary reasons

Information gathered by Finder Sports indicates that striker Sadick Adams has been transfer-listed by Asante Kotoko primarily because of the player’s lack of respect towards the technical team and management.

Sadick Adams was given a letter on Wednesday May 9, 2018 to find a new club following the opening of the second transfer window.

Our sources at the club refuted claims making rounds in the media that the club parted ways with the player due to performance.

Sadick recently returned from injury after being out since January when Kotoko played CARA Brazzaville in the Confederation Cup preliminaries.

He featured in Asante Kotoko’s away defeat to Karela United in week 11 of the Ghana Premier League which marked his first premier league game this season.

“I was surprised because I don’t know the reason why I have been put on transfer but I have decided to keep mute because of what is going on in the team.

“They didn’t give me any reason and they have just told me to go find a team for myself which is not done anywhere in the world, Sadick Adams told Kumasi based radio station Metro FM.

According to reports, Sadick Adams who was among the highest paid players at the club was expecting some special treatment at the club but the technical team headed by Paa Kwesi Fabin was fed up with the player’s attitude and demands.

Reports indicate that at a point, Sadick Adams had requested for the captain’s armband and also refused to move out of the Sports Hotel when an apartment had been made available to him.

According to some officials of the club the decision taken is an attempt to restructure the club by bringing in new players who can perform.

“The decision was taken by the technical team and approved by management. The decision was taken based on performance and lack of playing time”, Nana Koka a member of Kotoko management team told the media.

Meanwhile, three other players of the club have had their contracted terminated that is deputy captain Eric Donkor, Sarfo Gyamfi and Edwin Tuffuor Frimpong.

The club on Friday released a statement to confirm the termination of contracts with the aforementioned players.
