Ghana’s rising star Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe (16-0, 10 KO’s) has intimated his readiness to face undefeated Cuban boxer Guillermo “El Chacal” Rigondeaux (17-0,11 KO’s).
Dogboe who for the first time in four years dropped down in weight from featherweight to super bantamweight defeated Julian Aristule to win the vacant WBO international super bantamweight belt. The fight came off last year December in Auckland, New Zealand.
“Guillermo Rigodeaux is my number one target, Rigodeaux is a great boxer, he became champion before I went into boxing, he is a great guy,” Dogboe told Sportscrusader.com.
“He [Rigondeaux] has had his time, he is old now soon and very soon his time will pass and he has to leave the place for the young bloods to take over, that is exactly what is going to happen, when the call comes we will be there on the day with full vim to take the titles from him,” he added.
Rigodeaux currently holds two titles – the WBA super bantawmeight belt and the IBO super bantamweight belt, and on February 25th , he will defend those titles against Moises Flores.
