Black Stars slippery winger Christian Atsu, has revealed that, he has been in constant touch with his Newcastle United Manager Rafael Benitez, whilst at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Atsu, who plies his trade on loan to Newcastle United in the English Championship, said in an interview with your authoritative sportsnetghana.com that his coach has been calling him on regular basis to ask about his welfare in Gabon.
According to Atsu, his coach has been following his exploits closely in the competition and will not be surprised if he gets more playing time afterwards.
Atsu, has been the toast of the fans in Gabon with his slippery moves and incisive passes.
He was crowned Man of the Match, in the first game against Uganda, and was influential when Ghana played Mali in the second game of the competition.
Atsu was adjudged the Player of the Tournament in 2015 Africa Cup of Nations hosted by Equatorial Guinea.
