Huddersfield Town striker Collin Quaner has agreed and opted to play for Ghana after meeting Head coach of the Black Stars Kwesi Appiah who is on tour in the United Kingdom monitoring players.
Quaner born in Dusseldorf, Germany to Ghanaian parents is eligible to play for the Black Stars as he hasn’t featured yet for the senior national team of Germany.
Kwesi Appiah after meeting the player confirmed Quaner’s eligibility to KweseEspn in an interview after holding talks with the German-born striker in England.
“We had a good discussion and he is willing to play for Ghana.
“The Ghana Football Association will now have to handle the paperwork required because so that he can be eligible for us.”
The paperwork for a nationality switch is required because Quaner has previously played for Germany at U-20 level.
Kwesi Appiah has had meetings with Christian Atsu, Daniel Amartey and a host of other Ghanaian players in the United Kingdom.
