Ghana vrs Uganda: Head -to- Head

Ghana take on Uganda for the eleventh (10) time in all competitions on Tuesday, 17th January, in the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) being staged in Gabon.

The last recent meeting between the duo was in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers where the Cranes impressively gained a point in Tamale.

Historically, their encounters date back to 1962 when Ghana walloped them in front of their


countrymen by four goals to nothing and they met for the second time in the final of the continental showpiece held in Ghana.

Ghana defeated the Cranes of Uganda 2-0 with Opoku Afriyie  scoring both goals to help the Black Stars with their third AFCON on home soil.

In all Ghana lead the pack with four wins and Uganda have three wins, with four games ending in a draw.
