Egyptian Referee for Ghana Opener

Fifa Referee Gihad Grisha has been appointed by the Confederation Of African Football(CAF), to officiate the Afcon 2017, opener on Saturday January 14, between hosts Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Gresha became a FIFA referee in 2008, having served as a referee at the 2014 FIFA world cup qualifiers,Afcon 2013 and Afcon 2015

He will be assisted by Redouiane Achik from Morrocco and Waleed Ahmed Ali from Sudan.

Guinea Bissau qualified for the Afcon for the first time in their history and will be hoping to upset the host nation Gabon on Saturday.
