Commonwealth Games 2018: Ghanaian Trio Qualify For Semis

Ghanaian trio, Janet Amponsah, Martin Owusu Antwi and Joseph Amoah have made it to the semi-finals of the 200m race in this year’s Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.

Amponsah who competed for Ghana at the Rio Olympics made a time of 23.66s, with Owusu Antwi also securing a spot in the semis after making a time of 21.02s in the men’s category. Another prodigy Joseph Amoah also secured his spot in the semi-finals after recording an impressive time of 20.84s.

The trio will be in action tomorrow as they look to secure Ghana’s first medal in this year’s games in all competition.

Team Ghana will be looking to improve on the two bronze medals they won four years ago in Glasgow.
