Former Tema Youth, Isaac Adade Boateng has showered praises on Ghana’s skipper Asamoah Gyan and has even named him ‘the Attorney General’ of the Black Stars team after he created Ghana’s penalty which gave the Stars the only goal of the game against the Cranes of Uganda in the ongoing Cup of Nations in Gabon.
The former Black Starlet Assistant coach chose this name due to the fact Gyan comes to Ghana’s rescue when it matters most.
He said this after analyzing the Black Stars friendly in Abu Dhabi which Gyan came in as a substitute and broke the deadlock and the opening match against Uganda in the Group D opener. He believes that Asamoah Gyan was instrumental in both games and he feels Gyan has done enough to merit the accolade ‘Attorney General’

He was however quick to add that Gyan has been performing at that level over the period.
It can be recalled that Gyan was very instrumental in Ghana’s first World Cup appearance in 2006 in Germany where he scored the fastest goal of the tournament .The magnificent moment of all is Gyan’s extra time strike again USA in the round of sixteen in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Coupled with other sterling performances in his numerous participation in the African Cup of Nations, coach Opeele believes that Asamoah Gyan should be duly accorded hence the name ‘Attorney General’
