The Deputy Attorney-General, Godfred Dame, has stressed that the State is ready to prosecute Kwasi Nyantakyi and other Executive Committee members after the premiering of Anas video titled ‘Number 12’.
The said video captured Kwesi Nyantakyi using the name of the President Akufo-Addo to extort monies from investors and some Executives Members also taking bribes to influence the outcome of certain games.
However, due to the behaviour of the aforementioned characters, the government is taking steps to dissolve the Ghana Football Association.
And according to the deputy Attorney-General, Nyantakyi together with his executives face the wrath of the law once his outfit get the full report from the police.
”Criminal investigations indeed are being undertaken. Kwasi Nyantakyi and other executive committee members report to the police all the time. They are still conducting their own investigations so I don’t think it’s appropriate for us to say that no criminal action or whatsoever will be taken against them<' he said. With Anas' Expose, Nyantakyi has resigned as the GFA President, and he has been banned three months by FIFA.
