Ghana coach Avram Grant has expressed his delight over his side’s maturity in their 1-0 win over Mali last Saturday in the ongoing AFCON in Gabon.
Ghana became the first team to qualify to the quarter finals from Group D, after their slim win over Mali thanks to Asamoah Gyan’s header in the first half.
Grant’s side dominated the Malians in the first half but they were outplayed by Alan Giresse’s side in the second half, but they held on to the win the game.
“Something happened and I’m happy for the players because they were matured enough to know that, we needed the points.”Grant said in a press briefing.
“First half they played good football and in the second half in my opinion they played mature football.”He added.
Ghana will lock horns with Egypt on Wednesday in the last Group game.
