Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has indicated that the Black Stars will be on a revenge mission when they battle Egypt in the final game in Group D.
The four-time Africa champions who have already qualified for the quarter finals of the ongoing AFCON championship will slug it out with Egypt on Wednesday.
Last year, Egypt defeated Ghana 2-0 in a World Cup qualify for the 2018 mundial in Russia, and according to Gyan their target is to avenge that loss.
“We are going for revenge against Egypt. we will not allow them to score us two on a row.we want to maintain our 100% record in the ongoing tournament “, Gyan told Happy FM.
Gyan last Saturday made history when he became Ghana’s all time scorer with eight goals in AFCON tourney after his powerful header gave Ghana a 1-0 win over Mali.
